Description
Sheet metal bending is a manufacturing process in which most of the outer casings, electrical boxes, brackets and components are formed by using a machine called a CNC bending machine, and panel bending machines can also be used, but their operation is beyond the scope of this function.
When a metal plate is applied between two tools by a bending machine, the metal plate is bent: an upper tool (referred to as a punch) and a bottom tool (referred to as a mold). The press brake controls the movement of the punch or mold and provides pressure using a hydraulic cylinder or an electric servo motor. The bending angle is mainly determined by the penetration depth of the punch in the mold.
