Surface whitening treatment: stainless steel is processed during the processing process, which is subjected to coiling, burring, welding or artificial surface baking and heating to produce black scale. This hard gray-black oxide scale is mainly composed of two kinds of EO4 components, NiCr2O4 and NiF, which were previously removed by strong etching using hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid. However, this method is costly, pollutes the environment, is harmful to the human body, is highly corrosive, and is gradually being eliminated. At present, there are two main methods for treating scales.

⑴ Sandblasting (pill) method: mainly by spraying micro-glass beads to remove the black scale on the surface.

⑵ Chemical method: Dip with a non-polluting pickling passivation paste and a non-toxic, non-toxic cleaning solution with inorganic additives. Thereby achieving the purpose of whitening treatment of stainless steel color. After processing, it basically looks like a dull color. This method is suitable for large and complex products.


Mirror surface brightening treatment method of stainless steel: According to the complexity of stainless steel fabrication products and user requirements, mechanical polishing, chemical polishing, electrochemical polishing, etc. can be used to achieve specular gloss. The advantages and disadvantages of these three methods in stainless steel fabrication are as follows:

Mechanical polishing

Good mechanical polishing and flatness, high luminous intensity, serious pollution, difficult to process complex parts, low gloss, low investment and cost, simple workpieces, medium and small products, complex parts can not be processed, the gloss of the whole product is not consistent, gloss retention can not last for long time.

Chemical polishing

Chemical polishing of treatment in stainless steel fabrication, low investment, complicated parts can be thrown, high efficiency, fast speed, insufficient brightness, polishing liquid to be heated, gas overflow, need ventilation equipment, complex products, products with low brightness requirements, small batch processing is more cost-effective.

Electrochemical polishing

Electrochemical polishing to mirror gloss, long-term maintenance, stable process, less pollution, low cost, good anti-pollution, one-time investment, complex parts to be equipped with tooling, auxiliary electrodes, mass production to cool high-end small and medium-sized products, requiring long time for keeping the mirror bright, the process is stable, easy to operate, and can be widely used.
